Prime Minister Medvedev to Finland
The Prime Minister of Russia, Dmitri Medvedev, will visit Finland on 14 November on the invitation of Prime Minister Jyrki Katainen. The prime ministers will discuss the countries' trade and economic relations, issues concerning border crossings and mobility, cooperation in Baltic Sea issues, and the current situation in the global economy.
During the same day, the premiers will also attend a Finnish-Russian forest summit. The summit will bring together experts from Finland and Russia to discuss key issues in forest policy, ways to increase the use of wood and wood construction, and new investment and business opportunities in the forest sector. This is the fourth forest summit meeting. The prime ministers will also visit Aalto University and its Design Factory, a research and learning environment for product development, and Venture Garage, a coworking space focused on startup entrepreneurship.
During his visit, Prime Minister Medvedev will also meet President of the Republic Sauli Niinistö.
