Decorations

Decorations are awarded by the various orders in question. Organisations and enterprises in the administrative branch of the Prime Minister's Office may submit proposals to the Prime Minister's Office for decorations belonging to the orders of the White Rose of Finland and the Lion of Finland, which are awarded to citizens of Finland on Independence Day, 6 December.

The President of the Republic, the Grand Master of all orders, decides on the awarding of decorations proposed by the boards of orders. 

The application form for applying a decoration is only available in Finnish and in Swedish.
