The Finland’s Faces application can be used by anyone who wishes to create a fun, blue-and-white cartoonised portrait and join in to fly the flag for the big year for Finland. The illustration theme created specifically for the centenary of Finland’s independence will soon be spotted everywhere.

The Finland’s Faces application will bring the illustration theme of the centenary to life. Easy to use, the online application is open to anyone wishing to modify a selfie or face portrait into a unique, blue-and-white cartoonised version using four different filters. Once complete, you can share the image in the social media, use it as a profile picture, send it to your friends or save it for later use.

“Finland’s Faces brings the centenary close to every Finn and friend of Finland around the world. It is an easy and fun way to mark the centenary and be part of the centenary theme, Together,” says Heidi Ketola, marketing coordinator for the Finland 100 project secretariat.

Creating a Finland’s Face cartoon image does not require downloading the application as the image can be made on the browser by phone, tablet or computer. Sharing your cartoon portrait is easy through the social media or e-mail.

At the Finland 100 opening event on 31 December 2016, a Finland’s Faces photo booth will be open in Narinkkatori in Helsinki’s Kamppi from 14:00 until 20:00.

The Finland’s Faces application was developed as a collaboration by Miltton, the centenary partner for marketing communications, Kokoro&Moi design agency and digital agency Great Apes. The application is available in three languages at suomenkasvot.fi, finlandsansikten.fi and finlandsfaces.fi.
