The Prime Minister of Sri Lanka to visit Finland

Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will visit Finland on 9 and 10 October on the invitation of Prime Minister Juha Sipilä.

The premiers will hold bilateral discussions on Tuesday 10 October at Kesäranta, the Prime Minister's Official Residence. The topics on their discussions will focus on the countries’ bilateral relations, commercial cooperation and international relations, including the relations between the European Union and Asian countries.

During the visit, Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will also meet Speaker of Parliament Maria Lohela, Minister of Economic Affairs Mika Lintilä, Minister of Defence Jussi Niinistö and Minister of Social Affairs and Health Pirkko Mattila. The Sri Lankan Prime Minister will also visit Finnish companies and hold meetings with business representatives. In addition, he will pay a visit to the Finnish Meteorological Institute.

The premiers' joint press conference will be broadcast live on the government website on Tuesday 10 October, starting at 13.30 at vn.fi/live
