Prime Minister Sipilä at the Finland 100 centenary performance in Copenhagen

Prime Minister Juha Sipilä will make a working visit to Denmark on Friday 27 January. During the visit he will meet the Prime Minister of Denmark Lars Løkke Rasmussen and host the jubilee performance of the Finnish National Ballet at the Royal Danish Theatre as the head of the Finland 100 delegation.

The two Prime Ministers will discuss the bilateral relations between Finland and Denmark and topical issues, including economic reforms, immigration policy and future of the EU.

The Queen of Denmark Margrethe is to honour the jubilee performance of the Finnish National Ballet. Several ministers, diplomats and Danish dignitaries and friends of Finland will also be present. The four performances by the Finnish National Ballet in Copenhagen is one of the international highlights of Finland 100 centenary year. The ballet Snow Queen is based on a story by the Danish author Hans Christian Andersen and the choreographer Kenneth Greve, now the Artistic Director of the Finnish National Ballet, is a former Royal Danish Ballet principal dancer.  The music is composed by Tuomas Kantelinen.
