Prime Minister Sipilä congratulates the Vice President-elect of the United States

Prime Minister Juha Sipilä has extended his congratulations to Governor Mike Pence on his election as Vice President of the United States of America. In his letter Prime Minister Sipilä says the transatlantic tie between Europe and the United States is essential for security and stability, the economy, and addressing global challenges successfully. Sipilä expresses, as well, his confidence in the relationship between Finland and the United States continuing to deepen through cooperation on a broad agenda. In his congratulatory letter, Prime Minister Sipilä also expresses his wish to meet the new Vice President at the earliest possible occasion.
