Deputy President of South Africa Motlanthe visited Finland

The Deputy President of the Republic of South Africa, Kgalema Motlanthe, visited Finland on 9 and 10 May. On Thursday 10 May, he had a meeting with Prime Minister Jyrki Katainen. In their meeting, Deputy President Motlanthe and Prime Minister Katainen discussed bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries, regional issues relating to South Africa and key EU and global issues.

Prime Minister

The function of the Prime Minister's Office is to support the duties of the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister directs the work of the Government and coordinates the preparation and consideration of Government business.

Honorary titles

Prime Minister's Office is responsible for the preparatory work that precedes the awarding of honorary titles. Titles are awarded by the President of the Republic, following recommendations by the Title Board.
