Minister for European Affairs Tuppurainen to visit Dublin

Minister for European Affairs Tytti Tuppurainen and Irish Minister for European Affairs Thomas Byrne

Minister for European Affairs Tytti Tuppurainen will travel to Dublin on Wednesday 13 April. During her visit, Minister Tuppurainen will meet with her colleague, Irish Minister for European Affairs Thomas Byrne, and attend a local conference of heads of mission in Ireland.

In their meeting, Tuppurainen and Byrne will discuss measures to end the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine, rule of law work in the EU, the post-Brexit relationship between the EU and the UK, and bilateral relations between Finland and Ireland.

At the conference of heads of mission, Minister Tuppurainen will deliver an opening address and participate in a panel discussion on the role of smaller EU Member States in the uncertain global situation.
  
Ministers Tuppurainen and Byrne are colleagues on the General Affairs Council, which is one of the ten Council configurations of EU Member States’ ministers.
