Prime Minister Marin to speak with several EU leaders

On Tuesday 19 October, Prime Minister Sanna Marin will attend a video meeting with the President of the European Council and the leaders of three other EU Member States.

Their meeting is in preparation for the European Council meeting on 21–22 October. Topics on the agenda include the EU’s COVID-19 response measures, the digital transformation, energy prices, migration, trade policy and a variety of external relations issues, such as the Eastern Partnership summit in December and the COP26 Climate Change Conference.
 
Today’s small group session, convened by President of the European Council Charles Michel, will also be attended by the President of Bulgaria, the Chancellor of Austria and the Prime Minister of Estonia.
 
President Michel is organising similar sessions for other groups of countries.
