Minister Tuppurainen and Slovakian State Secretary for European Affairs Stancik to meet in Helsinki

Minister for European Affairs and Ownership Steering Tytti Tuppurainen and Slovakian State Secretary for European Affairs Andrej Stančík will meet in Helsinki on Thursday 2 March.

The meeting will focus on a wide range of topical matters on the EU agenda. Topics of discussion will include measures to support the EU economy and improve competitiveness, which will be on the agenda at the European Council meeting on 23–24 March, measures to secure access to reasonably priced energy, and comprehensive support for Ukraine in defending itself against Russia’s war of aggression.

Minister Tuppurainen and State Secretary Stančík are colleagues on the EU General Affairs Council, which prepares the European Council meetings and is responsible for several key policy areas, including EU enlargement and issues related to the rule of law.
