Prime Minister Marin to Security Conference in Munich

Prime Minister of Finland Sanna Marin will attend the Munich Security Conference on Saturday 18 February. The agenda includes several high-level discussions and meetings with the world’s political leaders.

Together with the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and the Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister Marin will attend a panel discussion on Europe’s geopolitical position in the world. Prime Minister Marin will also have several high-level meetings during the day. The agenda includes a trilateral meeting with the US Vice President Kamala Harris and Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson.

This year, the Munich Security Conference has decided to present the highly respected Ewald von Kleist award to Finland and Sweden for their historic decisions to apply for NATO membership. Present in Munich to receive the award will be President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö, Prime Minister Sanna Marin, Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson and former Prime Minister of Sweden Magdalena Andersson.

Minister for Foreign Affairs of Finland Pekka Haavisto, Minister for European Affairs and Ownership Steering Tytti Tuppurainen and Minister of Defence Mikko Savola will also attend the Security Conference.
