Press release

As of May this year the Government and all its ministries are using a common case management system, VAHVA, as well as a digital signature.

The project to develop a joint case management in the Government has achieved one of its most significant goals, as all 12 ministries have implemented a common case management solution. In September 2022, VAHVA was also introduced in the preparation of EU affairs. What remains of the objectives of the VAHVA-project is to reform the Government's decision-making.

A joint case management system has introduced shared practices to document management. With the VAHVA system, all ministries have also introduced an advanced electronic signature in accordance with the eIDAS directive.

The Government and its ministries send electronically signed documents, official notifications and EU documents from the addresses of the VAHVA system. Those who are waiting for documents from the Government and its ministries should ensure that documents sent by the VAHVA system do not go to junk mail in their email systems.  If the material contains confidential information, it is sent by secure e-mail. The recipient receives instructions on how to read the message.
