Finland’s activity in the Arctic region must be tied in with the capacity of nature to withstand it, the need to protect the climate, the importance of sustainable development principles, and respect for the rights of indigenous peoples.
Finnish Government
The term ‘Government’ refers to the Government of Finland which consists of a prime minister and a required number of ministers. It also denotes a decision-making body consisting of the government plenary session and the ministries.
Prime Minister's Office
The Prime Minister's Office, a ministry led by the Prime Minister in person, is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the Government’s political programme. The Prime Minister’s Office also assists the Prime Minister in the general management of Government functions.
