Prime Minister Rinne to the Czech Republic

On Monday 30 September, Prime Minister Antti Rinne will meet the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Andrej Babiš in Prague. This is Antti Rinne’s first visit to the Czech Republic as the Prime Minister of Finland.

The Prime Ministers will discuss bilateral relations between the two countries and topical EU issues, including the next Multiannual Financial Framework, sustainable development and climate issues, single market, situation in terms of the rule of law, EU enlargement, migration and Brexit. Prime Minister Rinne will also tell about the priorities and arrangements for Finland’s Presidency of the Council of the EU. The Czech Republic will hold the Presidency in 2022.

During his visit, Prime Minister Rinne will also meet the Minister of the Interior of the Czech Republic Jan Hamáček and discuss with Czech experts specialised in climate change and energy issues.
