Prime Minister Sipilä will meet Prime Minister Duško Marković on Tuesday 6 November in Helsinki. The premiers will discuss the bilateral relations between the two countries and topical EU issues. Finland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union will also be on the agenda. The European agenda during the Presidency period includes EU enlargement and questions related to the Western Balkans.
Prime Ministers Sipilä and Marković last met in the spring in Sofia in connection with the Western Balkans Summit. Montenegro became a NATO Member State in June 2017 and has also held accession negotiations with the EU since 2012.
