Government to provide Vimana with EUR 30 million in capital

The Government plenary session decided on 31 January 2019 to provide the municipal ICT service centre Vimana Oy with a maximum of EUR 30 million in capital.

The Government will transfer shares held in the Solidium Oy portfolio to Vimana in the form of equity with a maximum total value of EUR 30 million. At first, it will transfer around EUR 15 million in Kemira Oyj shares. The Government is prepared to transfer the rest of the funds to the company depending on the financing needs of its operating activities.

Vimana, which operates under the ownership steering of the Ministry of Finance, is a Finnish state-owned limited liability company founded on 29 June 2017. The company is a national ITC service centre responsible for organising and maintaining the information and communications technology services required for the future counties.
