Finnish government met European Parliament’s President and political group leaders in Helsinki: key focus on climate and common values

President of the European Parliament David Sassoli and the chairs of the European Parliament’s political groups met Prime Minister Antti Rinne and the Finnish government in Helsinki on 6 September.

The main topics of the meeting were sustainable growth, climate and the EU’s long-term budget. In addition to covering the priorities of Finland’s Presidency of the Council of the EU, the meeting also discussed cooperation between the Council and the European Parliament.
