Prime Minister Rinne and President-elect of the European Council Michel meet in Helsinki

On Monday 14 October, the Prime Minister of Belgium and President-elect of the European Council Charles Michel will visit Finland, on the invitation of Prime Minister Antti Rinne. The two Prime Ministers will meet at the Finnish Prime Minister’s Official Residence Kesäranta to talk about current EU affairs.
The main topics on the agenda are the EU’s Multiannual Financial Framework, Brexit, the rule of law, climate issues, sustainable growth, and the global role of the EU.
Prime Minister Charles Michel’s term as the European Council President will start during Finland’s Presidency of the Council of the EU, on 1 December 2019.
