Minister of Economic Affairs Mika Lintilä will attend a Finnish-Russian round table on bioeconomy and the circular economy in Saint Petersburg on 24 May 2018. He will also discuss bilateral economic relations with Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov.

The Finnish-Russian round table on bioeconomy and the circular economy is organised as part of the official programme of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). The keynote speakers in the round table will be Special Presidential Representative Sergei Ivanov and Minister of Economic Affairs Mika Lintilä.

“There has already been a lot of cooperation between Finland and Russia in the field of bioeconomy and the circular economy. I believe that together we can develop solutions to blue bioeconomy, urban circular economy and digital sustainable forest management, among others,” Minister Lintilä says.

  • More than 400 Finnish companies operate in Russia, employing around 40,000 people.
  • Some 4,000 Finnish companies export to Russia and some 1,300 companies import from Russia.

At the Forum, Minister Lintilä will also meet Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov to discuss economic relations between Finland and Russia.
