State Secretary Lehtomäki to Japan and Hong Kong

State Secretary to the Prime Minister, Ms Paula Lehtomäki will conduct an export promotion visit to Japan on 12-14 November. During the visit Ms. Lehtomäki will have discussions with senior Japanese government officials on topical bilateral and international issues.

A main purpose of the visit is to promote Finnish design and lifestyle exports to Japan. State Secretary Lehtomäki is accompanied by eight Finnish companies with whom she will meet with potential Japanese partners and participate in one of the biggest lifestyle and interior design events in Japan, the IFFT. Ms. Lehtomäki will also pay a visit to Hanno city where a Moomin Theme Park will open in 2019, and the adjacent Metsä recreational area where a number of Finnish lifestyle companies are already present.

From Tokyo State Secretary Lehtomäki continues to Hong Kong where she will open a company seminar on sustainable development on 15 November. She will also meet senior representatives of the Hong Kong government, and give a speech at a local university on European Union external relations.
