Prime Minister Rinne to Brussels

Prime Minister Antti Rinne will take part in a high-level forum concerning cooperation between the EU and Asia (EU-Asia Connectivity Forum) in Brussels on 27 September. The Prime Minister’s programme in Brussels on 26-27 September also includes several high-level meetings.

On Thursday 26 September, Prime Minister Rinne will hold discussions with the next President of the Commission Ursula von der Leyen. On Friday 27 September, the Prime Minister’s programme will include meetings with Prime Minister of Japan Shinzō Aben, the EU's chief negotiator on Brexit Michel Barnier, Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenković and Commission Vice-President Frans Timmermans.

On Friday 27 September, Prime Minister Rinne will give a closing statement as a representative of the current Presidency of the Council of the EU at the EU-Asia Connectivity Forum. Other speakers at the forum include President of the Commission Jean-Claude Juncker, Prime Minister of Japan Shinzō Abe and Prime Minister of the next EU Presidency Croatia Andrej Plenković.
