Estonian Prime Minister Ratas visits Helsinki

The new Prime Minister of Estonia, Jüri Ratas, will visit Helsinki on Wednesday 7 December on the invitation of Prime Minister Juha Sipilä. At their meeting, the two premiers will discuss bilateral relations and cooperation especially in areas such as the energy sector, transport, digitalisation and economy. Topical EU matters including the December European Council, security and defence policy and Estonia's forthcoming EU Presidency in 2017 are also on the agenda.

Ratas’ visit to Finland is his first visit abroad as the Prime Minister of Estonia.

The premiers' press conference will be broadcast live on the government website at vn.fi/live on Wednesday 7 December, starting at 18.30.
